They were one of those bands back then that kind of had an identity issue. Were they punk or new wave ? I guess it depened on who you talked to at the time.I remember seeing them at Cloud 9 night club at Knotts Berry Farm in the early 80's.
( HAHA! Cloud 9 !) I was just happy it wasn't some " cover band " ala the wedding singer.
I thought they were cool back then and I still do.
No matter how you care to label them.
Same goes with Gary Myrick and The Figures, although, I have to admit,I think they DID have more of a " new wave " feel.( Myrick )
